Bamford Cup 2008
This year it was the turn of the Herne Bay Operatic Society
to present the Bamford Cup to a member of Theatrecraft.
.
The well deserved winner was Jo Gambrill, who despite her tender
years, has worked tirelessly for Theatrecraft as an excellent all
round performer. She also made her directorial debut in our 2008
Panto, Dick Whittington and more recently took a leading part in our
Spring Play |

2008 - Theatrecraft's 60th Anniversary!
It is now 60 years since we produced our very first
production
"The Barratts of Wimpole Street".
Hundreds of plays, musicals,
reviews and pantomimes later, we are revving up to celebrate our birthday
in style!
To celebrate, we are holding a grand Dinner Dance this
September, when we hope to welcome back some old members to the society.
The venue is the Kings Hall, where we will be entertained by the popular
Dance Band:
The Beverley Big Band

Theatrecraft is a
thriving amateur society, affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic
Association
NODA.
With three productions a year, including a summer musical, a pantomime and a
play, there is always something for everyone to enjoy. A society for all
seasons!

New Set Store and
Wardrobe
During the autumn of 2007, we were delighted
to finally find much needed space for our set, props and wardrobe.
The storage is a derelict building that has been empty for more than
ten years. A regular team of volunteers have been working hard
to renovate the store, including complete rewiring, new windows,
restoring water and power, as well as hacking down undergrowth worthy
of Sleeping Beauty!

We have already received much needed funding from
local companies and organisations, but more is needed.....
